Driven by Enovis' desire to create innovative products that help improve quality of life and restore movement to those suffering from degenerative arthritis, Enovis Surgical provides orthopedic surgeons with modern, patient-focused solutions for total joint arthroplasty. Partnerships with key surgeon consultants help provide advanced and proprietary patented solutions, including EMPOWR 3D Knee, the only dual-pivot knee system on the market, and AltiVate Reverse Shoulder, a market-leading system, based on the design principles of the RSP Shoulder, which has demonstrated excellent clinical outcomes at 10 years.

Enovis Surgical offers surgeons and their patients a full range of primary and revision implants for hip, knee, shoulder, and elbow reconstructive joint surgeries, in addition to the tools and digital health technology needed in today's changing healthcare environment.

Job Title/High Level Position Summary:

A Supplier Engineer's role concentrates in general on technical aspects of supplier selection, supplier process & material changes and technical support for all purchased implants and instruments at Enovis. The Supplier Engineering Team is responsible for the technical leadership and resolution of non-conformances in the supply chain in support of business continuity and the transfer of manufacturing sites to achieve year-on-year material cost reduction targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Team Member on teams comprising representatives from Purchasing, Supplier Quality, Product Development, Regulatory and Marketing to drive supplier transfers for implants and instruments.

Supports and Leads cost-down projects throughout the Supply Chain.

Demonstrates Technical skills in Commodity Management.

Responsible for supporting objectives of the Team in terms of Quality, Cost and Service.

Supports Continuous Improvement of Quality & Quality Systems, Service Capability and Total Cost of Ownership throughout the Supply Chain.

Supports investigation of Material Quality issues as they arise. Works with Quality, Procurement to resolve issues and disposition product.

Promotes the Quality System within the Supply Base.

Works with Procurement, Supplier Quality Engineering, Receiving Inspection & Business Units to ensure that components meet established requirements.

Ensures that adequate Corrective Actions are identified, implemented, and controlled by Suppliers.

Provides guidance to other functional areas in applying Supplier Management system requirements.

Contributes to the development, maintenance and improvement of Supplier Management Policies and Procedures.

Communicates effectively with all Internal & External Stakeholders.

Develops new Supply sources with Procurement Team.

Assesses and Approves Supplier Requested Process Changes.

Project planning, in detail, in support of major project, product/process transfer etc.

Development and implementation of appropriate supporting documentation, which complies with GMP in conjunction with the other team members.

Lead resolution of problems that impede project progress.

Identify and escalate unresolved obstacles to the success of the project. Participate in lean reviews, and Kaizen events.

May coach technicians or other engineering support employees.

Minimum Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering,

Minimum of 7 years of experience in supplier engineering or engineering project management role.

Experience with metals/plastic machining and metrology.

Level may be based on years of experience.
