The primary focus of this position is to provide regulatory expertise for Frito-Lay billion-dollar brands and key Quaker brands. This includes authoring ingredient statements, nutrition facts, partnering to substantiate new claims, and approving graphics that help consumers make informed choices about PepsiCo Foods.

Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for multiple Frito-Lay and Quaker brands, authoring ingredient statements, nutrition facts, partnering to substantiate new claims and ensuring the accuracy of the regulatory information in R&D databases, in specifications on final artwork. The position will involve working on multiple product task force groups to provide input on nutrition labeling, claims and regulatory questions as well as packaging timelines. Additionally, this role will be responsible for leading key regulatory projects such as ensuring compliance with changes to US regulations across the portfolio, developing guardrails to substantiate new claims, and designing regulatory systems to meet the needs of the future.

The position requires an excellent understanding and application of US Food and Drug Administration labeling regulations and robust experience in managing regulatory processes. As a Regulatory Affairs leader, you must be able to monitor, interpret and ensure compliance with US regulations today and into the future. Technical savvy and expertise with utilizing product specification and life-cycle management systems is critical to success in this role.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $89,000 - $149,000.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • BS in Nutrition Science, Food Science, Engineering or equivalent as minimum
  • 5+ years of regulatory affairs experience with strong knowledge of FDA and USDA food regulations
  • Strong executive communication, collaboration and influencing skills
  • Strategic thinking and regulatory risk assessment
  • External advocacy and experience working with industry trade associations on food policy issues preferred
  • People management experience preferred
