Customer Focus Food Scientist Work in collaboration with Customer R&D and Procurement Teams. Participate in Food Shows and Sales presentations, supporting the Water Lilies Food Sales Team. Monitor market trends and perform market analysis in Asian and Asian inspired food sector. Provide technical support for Production, Quality Assurance and Procurement Teams. Coordinate R&D samples for customers. Develop new formulas, formula improvements and cost reductions and process efficiency per the company and customer requests. Plan, collect materials for, coordinate trial production and development tests in collaboration with the company and Customer Technical Teams. Create nutrition panels and regulatory labeling. Coordinate other analytical studies in house or outside labs as requested, i.e., palatability, acceptability, and/or perform evaluation of product texture, pH, filling ration, etc. Support operations in selection and use of equipment for production. Support other departments with R&D as requested. Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Food Science, or a closely related field plus two (2) years of experience the position or as R&D Food Scientist.Must have at least two (2) years of experience: Coordinating test runs with production facilities. Providing technical support for production and quality assurance. Ensuring formula adherence by comparing actual data to formulas and product specifications. Creating product specifications for finished products. Maintaining production specification from suppliers. Reporting food safety issues. Developing new formulas, formula improvements and cost reductions and process efficiency per the employer and customer requests. Helping to plan, collect materials for, coordinate trial production and development tests in collaboration with the company and Customer Technical Teams. Creating nutrition panels and regulatory labeling. Coordinating other analytical studies in house or outside labs as requested, i.e., palatability, acceptability, and/or perform evaluation of product texture, pH, filling ration, etc. Supporting operations in selection and use of equipment for production.
