Perform reliability improvements, service monitoring, hardware and service troubleshooting, and process engineering. Support developers and engineering teams to deliver new features to customers. Ensure all existing and future services provided are resilient to outages by leveraging industry standard patterns to architect reliable services. Participate in a 24/7 rotational on-call network, operational and application level experience for all support services. Build tools and extend existing automation to improve service delivery. Experience with modern computer hardware and software to maintain reliable production services. This will include experience ranging from Linux OS, understanding of network technologies, implementing large scale tools (DNS, Load Balancing, Cache, Datastores) and writing software. Assist in capacity planning for supported services ranging from Java, Golang, and Python apps to common internet technologies (Cassandra, Redis, Nginx, Envoy, Kubernetes, Kafka). $135,400 - $204,000/yr.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:

1. Network including experience with network concepts (IP, MAC, Routing) and understanding ping, traceroute, tcpdump, and Wireshark.

2. Experience developing an application service providing including fault-tolerant multi-site design, scalable via multiple layers, and orchestration of CI/CD.

3. Experience with Global DNS Routing, DNS Concepts (Domains, subdomains, and name records); understanding of load Balancing and OSI Model; and experience building an app using multitier web architecture principles.

4. Automation to ensure service reliability, including experience with using VMs, and Kubernetes; and understanding principles of multi-region application architectures.

5. Understand Linux command-line utilities, including experience investigating and troubleshooting performance issues.

6. Experience using various storage platforms ranging from boot device, network-attached storage and Object Stores.

7. Following common Agile Software development processes and principles, including Sprint planning, Project Scoping, and estimation of work.

8. Experience building with common development practices: unit tests, Code coverage, Canary, and deployment patterns.

The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 - $204,000/yr., and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
