**Position Summary**

The Software development engineer is a position in the Aetna Technology Commercial domain that should have knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, or others. In this role you will design, code, test, debug, document, deploy, and support solutions that ultimately support overall success of the domain.

As a Software Development Engineer with CVS Health, you will:

+ Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain software applications.

+ Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.

+ Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure software quality.

+ Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software defects and issues.

+ Learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and processes as needed.

+ Contribute ideas to improve software functionality, performance, and user experience.

+ Document development processes, workflows, and technical specifications.

+ Ensure security and performance standards are kept up to date

+ Participate and provide feedback in architecture and design reviews, champions improvements and ensures high fidelity and consistent implementation throughout the product.

**Required Qualifications**

+ 0-2 years of experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, or others.

+ Familiarity with software development principles, data structures, and algorithms.

+ Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git).

+ Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.

+ Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

+ Passion for software development and eagerness to grow technically.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Experience with AGILE methodology. End to End Domain level Agile model.

+ Experience in Jenkins, CI/CD Pipeline, GIT, and other DevOps principles.

+ Ability to multi-task and rapid context switch between dynamic project priorities.

+ Angular or similar front end experience

+ Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills

+ Demonstrates leadership and motivation skills

+ Experience with the Azure and GCP public cloud platforms.

+ Experience with Cloud migrations (Red hat, Azure OpenShift Container) and DevSecOps (GitHub, Jenkins, Urban code deploy, Sona type) adoption.

+ Customer-first orientation and strong passion for delivering quality tools, information and content in service to consumer needs.

+ Desire to work collaboratively and experienced in driving projects to completion on time and within budget.

**Education**

+ Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

**Pay Range**

The typical pay range for this role is:

$79,310.00 - $158,620.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
