Summary:

The Process Engineer develops manufacturing processes, tooling, procedures, and work instructions to support the manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

Defines product specific tooling and fixture requirements to support manufacturing operations

Participates in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen continuous improvement activities

Assists in reviewing engineering design drawings and DFX reports prior to production release for manufacturability

Monitors day-to-day production activities and make recommendations to improve efficiency and quality

Supports a type or group of equipment, specifying, implementing and enhancing performance

Participates in evaluating and qualifying new manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment

Develops manufacturing procedures and work instructions for assigned areas

Works with cross functional teams to address corrective actions for assigned areas

Assists maintenance in developing preventative maintenance and calibration procedures

Participates in DOE to develop optimal process parameters

Develops product specific programs, recipes, and process parameters

Complies and follow all company policies and procedures

Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Develop processing techniques to treat vacuum chamber and related components on various metallic materials used in semiconductor manufacturing devices.

Specify, procure and develop state-of-the-art advanced process equipment.

Assist in preventive maintenance functions in establishing priorities and initiatives to ensure equipment availability and reliability.

Conduct chemical and physical tests in making qualitative and quantitative analysis of processes.

Become proficient in equipment operation and serve as a technical resource, answering process-related questions and providing guidance to production staff.

Qualifications:

0-3+ years of manufacturing experience

Understanding of and ability to use continuous improvement tools.

Working knowledge of productivity tools, including Microsoft Office products and Teams conferencing software

Ability to work individually or in teams

Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required

Understanding of and ability to use metrics and continuous improvement tools (e.g. DPMO, FPY, DPM, Six Sigma, FMEA, etc.)

Have knowledge of various chemical based cleaning and electropolishing.

Ability to drive projects & root-cause failure investigations.

Ability to work in high volume clean room environment.

Have a passion for metal surface processing.

Understanding of Design-of-Experiments execution and statistical data analysis.

Ability to manage projects from conception to high volume production.

Self-motivated, results-oriented with high commitment to quality in a fast-paced environment.

Proven ability to solve complex analytical problems and provide robust solutions based on solid technical background.

Expertise in a range of material surface characterization methods.

Training in basic chemistry, titration, and solution process control.

Experience in 3D CAD modeling and automation a plus.

Experience in metal surface etching and electropolishing a plus.

Education:

4-year Engineering or Technical degree. Ideally involving Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering or similar technical field. Or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management
