- 1 year of experience in Python and in manufacturing test development or a similar role.
- Experience developing manufacturing test software.
- Experience working with optical components (e.g., lasers, optical fibers, etc.).
- Experience with data analysis.
- Excellent communication and networking skills.
The Manufacturing Operations team is responsible for providing the manufacturing capability to deliver the physical infrastructure.
As a Manufacturing Test Development Engineer, you will evaluate the product designs and create the manufacturing test processes, tools and procedures behind Googles dynamic search technology. When vendors build parts for our infrastructure, you will ensure manufacturing test processes are repeatable and controlled. You will collaborate with contract manufacturers, supply chain, and design engineering to determine Googles infrastructure needs and product specifications. You will ensure the various pieces of Googles infrastructure fit together and keep our systems humming along smoothly for a seamless user experience.

- Develop, deploy, and sustain test strategies and procedures for new and existing hardware throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
- Create test plans and drive test coverage based on product requirements.
- Develop automated test scripts for functional test, software installation and burn-in using python.
- Analyze test data to identify trends, troubleshoot failures, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define telemetry requirements to enable data-driven decision-making.
