Our strategic partnership is designed to combine the strengths and expertise of both companies to advance the promise of an immunotherapy in the treatment of multiple myeloma.

Legend Biotech is seeking Scientist, Downstream Process as part of the Vector Biology team based in Philadelphia, PA.

Role Overview

This role focuses on manufacturing lentiviral vectors using suspension cell cultures and executing downstream purification processes from cell clarification to sterile filtration at both preclinical and industrial scales. The position also involves optimizing DSP workflows, performing fill/finish operations, and collaborating closely with upstream and analytical teams to support research and future technology transfer.

Key Responsibilities

• BS degree with 5+ years of industry experience; MS degree with 4+ years industry experience; PhD in biochemistry, virology, molecular biology, cell & gene therapy or related field.

• Hands-on experience in lentiviral vector production

• Proficiency with DSP equipment such as AKTA and KrosFlo systems

• Deep knowledge of lentiviral vector titration (qPCR, ddPCR, flow cytometry, and ELISA)

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced biotech environment and effectively prioritize workload

Requirements

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in LVV technology

• Ability to think strategically, balance short-term goals and maintain flexibility is preferred.

• Experience in bioreactor and LVV production is a plus.

The anticipated base pay range for this is: $93,463 - $128,512 USD.
