Summary: Seeking a Process Engineer/Material Scientist for advanced polymer formulation and process engineering in high-density electronic packaging for 5G power conversion products.
Bachelor's degree in Plastics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Material Science
2+ years' experience in formulating epoxies, polyurethanes, silicones, and other thermosetting compounds
2+ years' hands-on experience with highly filled polymer systems
Proficient in operating twin-screw extruders and supporting equipment
Proven ability to design experiments (DOE) and interpret data
Strong understanding of polymer chemistry in thermoset resin systems
Familiarity with DSC, TGA, and TMA analysis techniques
Preferred Skills:
- Competence in preparing SOPs, lab documentation, and quality guidelines
Responsibilities:
Act as technical SME for material discovery and formulation of adhesives and molding compounds
Lead compounding and production of custom thermosetting polymer materials for power module packaging
Design and develop highly filled thermoset materials using twin-screw extrusion techniques
Manage new material development projects including various compounds
Perform hands-on process operations: polymer processing, data acquisition, analysis
Own entire compounding process from raw material procurement to final quality control
Introduce external innovations into R&D workflows
Develop SOPs and QC documentation for new materials/processes
Collaborate cross-functionally with partners and internal teams
Pay Details: $85,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
