Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree and with some experience in field work and meteorological instrumentation. Experience with meteorological theory, sensors, and forecast communications.

Position Summary

This position will assist with pre-fire meteorological observations, logistics, andnumerical modeling work in support of USFS-related field efforts.

  • Work independently to collaborate with the collection of data, specifically pre-fire meteorological observations, logistics, and numerical modeling work in support of USFS-related field efforts.
  • Monitoring the work site to ensure compliance with all activities on site and setup/maintenance of observation equipment at field sites.

Percentage of time 50 Duties/Responsibilities

Analyze and manage data collected in the field and in laboratory analyses.

Percentage of time 35 Duties/Responsibilities

Participate in drafting scientific documents and presenting at scientific/applied conferences.

Percentage of time 15
