Quality Control Technician

Quality Control Technician Job Description As a Quality Control Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and compliance of finished goods. You will conduct inspections and assessments, review material test reports, and perform root cause analysis to confirm the usability of materials. Additionally, you will use Oracle materials management software to log materials and conduct weekly process audits to maintain quality standards. Responsibilities Perform repetitive inspections and assessments of finished goods, including dimensional, welds, finish, markings, and component configurations using visual inspection methods. Review material test reports (MTRs) supplied with raw materials or components and confirm they match applicable standards and requirements. Conduct basic root cause analysis on assigned materials and collaborate with Engineering and Purchasing to confirm materials are usable. Use Oracle materials management software to electronically record receipt of materials into the system. Log materials from outside processing back into DBR scheduling system. Perform weekly process audits in various production departments and draft audit reports to share quality status. Essential Skills 2+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance role. Intermediate QA skills, including print reading, finishing, and defect recognition. Proficiency in using tools such as calipers, micrometers, thread plug and ring gages, ID/OD ring gages, electronic data collection devices, statistical process control database (Quantum SPC), thickness tester, Holiday tester, optical comparator, digital readout, digital thread comparators, and digital indicators. Effective reading, communication, computer, and mathematical skills. Ability to perform visual inspections. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Oracle materials management software. Ability to draft and distribute audit reports. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Sultan, Washington. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48360.00 - $63398.00/yr.
