Quality Control Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our team and contribute to our innovative food processing and packaging operations. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on recipe testing, cost analysis, consultation, nutritional paneling, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality assurance checks at all stages of production, including ingredient preparation, processing, bottling, and final packaging.
  • Conduct laboratory evaluationsboth physical and chemicalon raw materials, in-process batches, and completed goods in alignment with internal quality standards.
  • Carry out microbiological assessments on post-production samples held in quarantine.
  • Complete pre-startup inspections to verify sanitation status of equipment and production areas, ensuring readiness and compliance with changeover protocols.
  • Validate cleaning-in-place (CIP) procedures using allergen detection methods.
  • Manage the collection, labeling, and storage of product samples during production runs.
Essential Skills
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proficiency in calibration techniques.
  • Strong numerical skills.
  • Experience as a lab technician.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • BS in Food Science, Food Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a QA function within food or beverage manufacturing industry.
  • Work experience and trained in HACCP.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
