As an SDE-2, you'll work on innovative solutions combining Generative AI capabilities with advanced graph algorithms to optimize Amazon's global transportation network, making it truly hands-off-the-wheel while maximizing delivery speed and cost efficiency.

You'll be part of a team that:
- Collaborates with scientists to implement sophisticated graph algorithms for worldwide transportation optimization
- Explores and implements Generative AI applications to enhance supply chain optimization
- Partners with Business Intelligence engineers and data engineering teams to transform business requirements into technical solutions
- Works directly with business stakeholders to understand challenges and develop innovative technical strategies
- Designs and implements scalable systems for managing Amazon's exponentially growing transportation network
- Works with SQL and NoSQL databases, Big Data analytics, and distributed systems
- Develops highly-optimized solutions with millisecond latency requirements
- Creates innovative approaches to model, store, validate, and process billions of rows of configuration data

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
