Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in chemistry or related scientific discipline
  • 2+ years of laboratory experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device setting
  • Proficient in chromatographic techniques (UPLC, HPLC, GC/MS, ICP/MS)
  • Solid understanding of FDA, GLP, GMP, and USP guidelines
  • Skilled in statistical data analysis and laboratory best practices
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced lab environment

Technical & Software Skills

  • UPLC / HPLC / GC-MS / ICP-MS / HLPC-MS
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Data analysis and laboratory information systems (LIMS)
  • Project management and documentation software

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Ability to stand, sit, stoop, and perform repetitive lab tasks
  • Capable of lifting and handling up to 40 pounds
  • Comfortable working in controlled lab environments with protective gear and equipment
  • Occasional travel may be required

Position Overview

As a Quality Control Chemistry Associate, you will conduct both quantitative and qualitative analyses of finished pharmaceutical products, raw materials, and environmental samples. Your work ensures product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance with cGMP, GLP, and 21 CFR Part 11 standards. You'll collaborate closely with senior chemists to evaluate drug potency trends, support deviation investigations, and contribute to method development and validation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct HPLC/UPLC chemical testing and analysis on pharmaceutical products and raw materials
  • Review, interpret, and document analytical data, chromatograms, and lab reports
  • Assist in method validation and instrument troubleshooting (e.g., UPLC, HPLC, GC/MS)
  • Prepare reagents and standards in compliance with USP and internal SOPs
  • Investigate product deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints
  • Present technical findings, trends, and investigative reports to management
  • Support internal audits and regulatory inspections (FDA, DEA, BOP, etc.)
  • Maintain strict data integrity and ensure documentation adheres to GMP standards

Pay | $27.58 - $29.05 per hour
