The technician will be involved in several aspects of radiopharmaceutical research, including production and quality control of routine and research radiotracers, maintaining inventory of products for the facility, and maintenance/troubleshooting of radiopharmaceutical equipment. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $78,900 - $167,300 (Annual Rate). To learn more about the benefits of working at UCSF, including total compensation, please visit: Department Description The UCSF Department of Radiology Imaging IT team architects, implements, and manages the computer systems and networks needed to support more than 700,000 imaging studies annually. Our team manages the full stack from network to application and end user support. The team provide Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm support including evening and weekend call to support the Medical Center needs. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or in related area and / or equivalent experience / training 1-2 years of GMP or related experience Working knowledge of engineering principles and methods in order to independently perform professional engineering design work of limited scope and complexity Working knowledge necessary to begin independent application of principles, practices and procedures in the completion of assignments Organizational abilities and decision-making to prioritize work assignments Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a collaborative manner, to assist in identifying any challenges or barriers PET drug manufacturing / radiopharmaceutical production experience Analytical chemistry experience (HPLC, GC, TLC) Ability to effectively meet the demands of a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Adaptable to quickly changing priorities. In depth critical thinking skills to evaluate issues and identify a potential solution. Creatively addresses complex or new problems Communication skills; includes verbal and written, active listening, and critical thinking skills.
