About the role

Supports analytical development activities for the Manufacturing site Quality Control. Assists QC team supervisors in their investigations for both application of analytical methods and lab instruments. Performs and supports LC-MS testing of finished pharmaceutical products, ensuring compliance with GMP standards and accurate analytical results.

Role Responsibilities

  • Supports labs by performing troubleshooting tasks during analytical problems or investigations.
  • Ensure that all methods are conforming to guidelines and identifies improvement opportunities for analytical methods and develops the rationale to support changes.
  • Develops, optimizes, and validates physical and chemical analytical methods based on project deadlines.
  • Participates in qualifying individual corporate sites by performing transfer protocols for analytical or familiarization methods.
  • Coordinates analytical work related to new formulations or product launches.
  • Prepares, revises and writes protocols or technical reports and ensure coordination of change control in the QMS.
  • Develops project plans and shares recommendations regarding improvements in analytical methods.
  • Maintains a governance for all activities such as reduced testing program, pharmacopoeia updates, periodic reviews of methods, etc.
  • Performs LC-MS testing on finished pharmaceutical products in compliance with GMP regulations, ensuring accurate identification and quantification of analytes.
  • Maintains, calibrates, and troubleshoots LC-MS instrumentation; interprets mass spectral data and documents results in accordance with regulatory and internal quality standards.
  • Carries out chemical or microbiological tests on samples of raw materials, packaging components, intermediate products, bulk products, finished products, environmental control and cleaning validation in accordance with standard work methods. Verifies tests performed by colleagues.
  • Determines whether results obtained are within range for the product, method or other. Uses different management and data processing IT systems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BSc in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology or related science.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a quality control laboratory in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry .
  • Experience with LC-MS, including method development, validation, and troubleshooting in a GMP-regulated laboratory, preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluent verbal and written skills in English
  • Understanding and demonstrate knowledge of documented quality standards
  • Cross functional influencing skills
