R&D LCM Scientist II

Under supervision of manager and general direction and in accordance with all applicable government laws, regulations and ASP policies, procedures and guidelines, this position:

+ Support design changes for marketed products such as manufacturing steps, process or design validations, product testing, marketing analysis ensuring robust processes at suppliers that meet CTQs

+ Expected to perform experiments, under supervision, to evaluate the development and assessment of new technologies for potential products following the regulatory guidelines / standards (FDA, TGA, ISO etc.)

+ Follow prepared protocols and designed experiments to execute research studies under supervision to support product development from feasibility to final product verification / validation

+ Conduct qualitative and quantitative chemistry analysis of raw materials and finished goods and performs data organization and data analysis and prepares basic report

+ Support to develop solutions to problems of limited to moderate scope through the exercise of judgment within defined practices and policies to determine appropriate action

+ Provide routine technical support to internal or external manufacturing sites responsible to manage ASP consumable products manufactured worldwide.

+ Participate in LCM design/manufacturing changes for existing products and/or new product/technology transfer projects through pilot production to commercial production. Use Six Sigma methodology to perform process variability/capability studies, risk analysis, test method validation, OOS, root cause analysis and process improvement for the products responsible to manage.

+ Support chemistry laboratory equipment validation program

+ Must be able to provide training to other laboratory personnel in execution of testing procedures

+ Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level

+ Provide support to other programs and project teams that require test

+ Support team focused on identifying and implementing process level efficiencies

+ Support in maintaining awareness of the advances and need in sterilization / disinfection, and biocompatibility

+ Contribute to building extra ordinary team environment
