Senior Associate Scientist - Connective Tissue Diseases

We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Senior Associate Scientist to join the Osteoarthritis team, which is part of Connective Tissue Diseases. This is an opportunity for a researcher with strong in vivo expertise and cartilage knowledge to contribute to the development of small and large animal models of osteoarthritis.

As a Senior Associate Scientist, a typical day might include:

• Managing in vivo mouse models, performing injections (intra-articular, intraperitoneal, subcutaneous, intravenous), performing surgeries (destabilization of the medial meniscus), and tissue dissections
• Conducting in vitro cell culture- based experiments, such as culturing primary chondrocytes, chondrocyte cell lines, and chondrocyte pellet cultures
• Conducting a variety of assays including, immunohistochemistry, qPCR, ELISA, flow cytometry, and Western blots
• Collaborating with other internal teams to coordinate cross-department experiments
• Thorough and timely record keeping, data summarization, and presentation of results in formal and informal settings

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a Bachelor's degree in a field related to biomedicine and 3+ years relevant lab experience or a Master's degree with relevant lab experience. Applicants must have experience with handling rodent models. Experience with cell culture and cell-based assays is not required but preferred.

$79,100.00 - $129,100.00
