Meta is seeking Research Scientist Managers to join Reality Labs, where you will play a key role in driving significant advances in AI solutions for realistic avatars and natural input/interactions on our XR products. Our current focus includes pose estimation (hand tracking, body tracking), motion synthesis and their downstream tasks for user action understanding and avatar teleportation. As a Research Scientist Manager, you will lead our research and incubation efforts, fostering cutting-edge research and driving execution to deliver groundbreaking models that can be integrated into our products.

**Required Skills:**

Research Scientist Manager - Reality Labs Responsibilities:

1. Support and grow a team of domain experts within pose estimation, motion synthesis, and input/interaction modeling

2. Drive execution of developing models and systems that are crucial to the end-user experience

3. Communicate, collaborate, and build relationships with clients and peer teams to facilitate cross-functional projects

4. Remain up-to-date on ongoing algorithm development activities in the team, help work through technical challenges, and be involved in design decisions

5. Be hands-on supporting and leading teams of software engineers and research scientists

**Minimum Qualifications:**

6. PhD in deep learning, computer vision, artificial intelligence, and/or related technical field

7. 5+ years of hands-on experience in research in pose estimation, motion synthesis, deep learning and related fields

8. 2+ years of hands-on experience supporting and leading teams of researchers and engineers

9. Experience and track of record in delivering large research initiatives, starting from research to productization in a time-senstive environment

10. Demonstrated experience recruiting, building, structuring, leading technical organizations, including performance management

11. Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, as well as first-authored publications at leading workshops or conferences such as CVPR, ECCV/ICCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, SIGGRAPH

12. Experience with model optimization, efficient training and inference

13. Demonstrated software engineer experience via an internship, work experience, coding competitions, or widely used contributions in open source repositories (e.g. GitHub.)

**Public Compensation:**

$177,000/year to $251,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
