BGS is seeking a Test Requirement Development Engineer in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
T his is a position to develop software requirements for the purpose of creating automatic test capability for avionics electronic hardware. Boeing Global Services, a new business unit from the customer services groups within the company's existing commercial airplanes and defense, space and security business units, is a customer-focused, dedicated services business designed to drive greater value. This position involves working as a member of the Test Requirements Document (TRD) development Team within the C17 Program in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. The C-17 Globemaster III is a heavy airlifter used by the USAF and multiple other countries for both military and humanitarian missions.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Entry Level or Associate Test Requirement Development Engineers .
Position Responsibilities:
- Creating detailed Theory of Operations for semicomplex or complex Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA), Shop Replaceable Units (SRU) or Line Replaceable Units (LRU), developing associated block diagrams and developing overall test strategy
- Developing performance and diagnostic tests to detect and fault isolate to the failed component(s) allows the test capability to meet program fault detection and isolation requirements
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology)
- Experience in related field of electrical and/or software systems
- Experience with analog, digital component characteristics and methodologies in terms of analyzing circuits using Pspice, Mentor Graphics DxDesigner, QuestaSim, simulations tools and / or JEDEC codes
- Reverse engineer PAL, PLD, etc. and FPGA design and digital coding using Verilog or (Very High Description Language, VHDL)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 2+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelors degree or higher in electrical engineering or software systems
- Familiarity with simulation tools
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
