Position: Scientist Lentiviral Delivery Platform (Genetic Medicine)

Location: Worcester, MA

Are you passionate about cutting-edge science and making a real impact in patients lives? The Biotherapeutics and Genetic Medicine Group is looking for a driven and innovative scientist to help launch our lentiviral delivery platform within our newly established Genetic Medicine team.

This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of gene therapy innovationdesigning, engineering, and advancing novel lentiviral vectors that will power the next generation of genetic medicines. Youll work in a highly collaborative environment alongside cross-functional and therapeutic area teams to bring transformative therapies to life.

What Youll Do

• Lead the design and engineering of lentiviral vectors to support our gene therapy pipeline.
• Oversee lentiviral production using both internal resources and external CROs.
• Develop and implement analytical and cell-based assays (e.g., p24, VCN, SupT1 titration, ELISA, qPCR, ddPCR, WES, FACS, endotoxin testing).
• Maintain detailed and accurate experimental records in an Electronic Lab Notebook.
• Author technical reports and protocols to support regulatory and internal milestones.
• Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and scientific excellence in a BSL-2 environment.
• Embrace a proactive, can-do attitude and contribute to team success in a dynamic setting.

• Ph.D. in Biology or a related field with 5+ years of experience in lentiviral gene therapy (postdoc included), or M.S. with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven expertise in lentiviral vector design, engineering, and production.
• Experience managing CROs for lentiviral manufacturing.
• Strong experience in analytical and screening methods for vector characterization.
• Experience in CAR-T cell therapy is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with in vivo lentiviral delivery is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Passion for innovation and delivering high-quality results.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.
