Job Description

The Quality Lab Technician will thrive in a fast-paced laboratory environment, where they will perform a variety of chemical analyses including HPLC, GC, pH, FTIR, percent solids, viscosity, color, odor, appearance, titrations, and other wet chemistry techniques. The role emphasizes GC experience as critical, with the majority of the workday dedicated to product testing in the lab, blending samples, and documenting test results. This position involves testing liquid contents for aerosols and occasionally aerosolized products.

Responsibilities

  • Perform HPLC, GC, pH, FTIR, percent solids, viscosity, color, odor, appearance, and titrations.
  • Conduct product testing in the laboratory.
  • Blend samples from production and document all test results.
  • Spend approximately 80% of the day in the lab, 10% on production lines, and 10% on paperwork, documentation, and data entry.
  • Test liquid contents going into aerosols, occasionally testing aerosolized products.
Qualifications
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related fields is preferred.
  • 1-2+ years of experience with GC or LC in any industry.
  • Proficiency in HPLC, GC, pH, FTIR, and other wet chemistry techniques.
Work Environment

The position operates on a third shift schedule from 10pm to 6:30am, Monday to Friday, with possible occasional weekend work or overtime. Initially, the role will start on second shift from 2pm to 10:30pm. The laboratory environment requires adherence to safety precautions, including wearing PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, lab coat, and ear plugs. The physical demands include standing 75% of the time, sitting 25%, and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. The team consists of one Quality Lab Technician per shift, with QA Techs present on the production floor

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
