The Campus Academic Operations and Lab Operations team at Southern New Hampshire University is looking to connect with professionals who are interested in future opportunities within our organization. We are particularly looking ahead to potential openings for a Science Laboratory Manager , who would support faculty in managing the Chemistry, Life Science, and Biological Science laboratories. This is an on-site role reporting directly to the Assistant Dean of the School of Arts, Sciences, and Education.
What you'll do:
- Teach laboratories in general chemistry for students majoring in biology, environmental science, and engineering.
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules, including coordinating repairs, maintaining Lab inventory, and requests for purchases
- Support faculty and General Chemistry I and II curriculum, and potentially Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, General Physics, General Biology, cell culture or other labs
- Manage the chemistry laboratory set up, instruction, and break down
- Oversight of the Chemistry and Life Science labs, including inventory and ordering of durable and expendable equipment
- Facilitate all aspects of lab training. This includes assisting students and faculty on use of the equipment, tools, and other items available in the Lab, and training part-time staff to do so the same
- Plan science laboratory budget
- Maintain hygiene and safety plans for the Chemistry and Life Science, and Biological Science, Labs
- Manage part-time lab support staff and student workers
- Other administrative tasks to support the Department Chair
What we're looking for:
- 3 years of teaching experience in a higher education chemistry laboratory
- Master's degree in chemistry or related science field
- Certification or training in laboratory safety

Compensation
The annual pay range for this position is $51,608.00 - $82,590.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $57,027.00 - $77,155.00.Exceptional benefits (because youre exceptional)
