**Summary:**
Process Chemists are integral members of the chemical manufacturing team, each contributing to the development, optimization, and scale-up of manufacturing processes. From conducting routine experiments to leading process development projects, these roles involve hands-on laboratory work, data analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, process efficiency, and continuous improvement across all levels of expertise.
**Responsibilities:**
Process Chemist I
- Perform laboratory experiments following established protocols and procedures to support process development and optimization.
- Conduct chemical analysis and characterization of raw materials, intermediates, and final products.
- Compile and analyze experimental data, prepare technical reports, and communicate findings to cross-functional teams.
- Keep a well-documented laboratory notebook and have it co-signed within two weeks.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving process-related issues by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions; help create new testing processes.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, calibration records, and inventory of chemicals and supplies to ensure safe and efficient operation of the laboratory.
- Present project updates during team meetings.
- Ensure normal functioning of chemistry equipment sets, troubleshoot, and resolve issues that interfere with chemical synthesis.

- Participate in technology transfer activities, including the transfer of new processes from research and development to manufacturing.
- Implement efficiency or cost reduction initiatives as appropriate.
- May train new team members or technicians.

- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
**Process Chemist III:**
- Bachelors degree in Chemistry or related discipline and 4+ years of experience or
