Overview
We are seeking a Chemical Technician to support daily operations of water transfer systems, recycling infrastructure, and frack pond facilities. This position plays a critical role in overseeing chemical usage, vendor coordination, and implementation of sustainable water management practices in oilfield environments. The ideal candidate brings strong field experience, the ability to work independently, and familiarity with chemical handling and bulk fluid systems.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily field operations of water transfer, recycling, and pond systems
- Handle and manage chemicals and bulk containers safely in field environments
- Monitor chemical application during water treatment processes
- Supervise and coordinate tasks with 3rd-party vendors to ensure safety and compliance
- Identify opportunities to improve operational workflows and process efficiency
- Support R&D efforts by assisting with field testing of sustainable water technologies (e.g., enhanced evaporation)
- Maintain communication with operations supervisors to align on field priorities and reporting
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of field experience in water transfer, chemical treatment, or oilfield operations preferred.
- Familiarity with safe handling of chemicals, containers, and bulk fluid systems preferred.
- Must meet all conditional job offer requirements, including background, drug, MVR, agility, and fit for duty.
- Physical Requirements - Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
