**We are searching for the best talent for an Experienced Scientist, Viral Vector Downstream Process to be located in Spring House, PA.**

**Purpose:**

The Experienced Scientist, Viral Vector Downstream Process position in the Cell Therapy Platform & Discovery group of Therapeutics Discovery offers an exciting opportunity to help develop novel Cell & Gene Therapies for unmet medical needs. We are investigating the use of engineered viral vectors for ex vivo and in vivo gene delivery to T cells to treat cancer. We are seeking a highly motivated downstream process scientist to develop and implement vector purification strategies to enable preclinical studies. **You will be responsible for:**

+ Design, optimize, and execute downstream purification processes to improve yield, purity, and stability of lentiviral vectors (LVV)

+ Independently operate and maintain chromatography and filtration systems (e.g., TFF, depth filtration) for virus purification

+ Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of purified, quality-controlled vector lots to support preclinical studies

+ Maintain detailed records for vector productions and process development experiments to ensure traceability and data integrity

+ Contribute to a collaborative, creative, and rigorous culture of scientific discovery

**Qualifications:**

+ BS or MS in Biological Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Virology, Biology, or related field with 2+ years of related experience is required. Industry experience is preferred.

+ Experience with viral vector downstream processing methods, including column chromatography (Akta), is required

+ Expertise in LVV purification is preferred

+ Familiarity with analytical techniques for lentiviral vectors is preferred

+ Strong critical, scientific, and strategic thinking skills are required

+ Strong organizational skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple projects in parallel, are required

+ Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams is required

+ This role may require up to 5-10% travel.
