Lab Technician

As a Lab Technician, you will work under the direction of laboratory management to prepare mobile phase/diluents dissolution media, perform daily calibration of pH meters, balances, apparatus, and other laboratory equipment as assigned. You will ensure the cleanliness of the laboratory by cleaning the dissolution bath and maintaining general cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mobile phase/diluents dissolution media.
• Perform daily calibration of pH meters, balances, and other laboratory equipment.
• Clean dissolution baths and maintain cleanliness in the laboratory.
• Collect samples from the Vault according to the testing schedule/plan.
• Receive samples and perform data entry, filing, and organization.
• Maintain raw materials, finished product, and sample logbooks.
• Manage samples received and released, ensuring proper labeling and submission to QA.
• Dispose of released samples according to SOP.
• Maintain and monitor lab supplies and chemicals inventory.
• Check expiration dates of standards and chemicals, and dispose of expired items.
• Collect and wash laboratory glassware and utensils daily.
• Organize cleaned glassware and utensils in designated storage locations.
• Conduct cleaning of equipment, glassware, or laboratory supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Experience with HPLC, GC, FTIR, and pharmaceutical testing.
• Quality control and dissolution knowledge.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in the sciences.
• Experience working in a lab setting, either through school or research/internship.
• Ability to work with glassware and chemicals.
• Good writing skills and ability to follow regulations and protocols.

• Technical knowledge in chemistry and wet chemistry.
• Understanding of computer applications related to laboratory work.
• Mathematics knowledge, including statistics.
• Experience with sample preparation techniques.
• Knowledge of spectroscopic techniques and chromatographic systems.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.

You will work in a laboratory setting alongside a team of 10 people. The facility is new and offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth. The company is a growing Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) offering competitive pay.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
