About You
Were seeking a result-focused, innovative, self-driven, and well-qualified individual to join our talented team as our Application Engineering Lab Tech. Based out of our Torrington, Connecticut, location, you will evaluate the effectiveness of products in applied conditionsby managing workflows and work assignments, assessing products, recording results, and providing data to Application Engineering,
In addition, you will:
+ Interpret job instructions and manage workflows by validating project objectives, developing test matrices, collecting data, analyzing techniques, and effectively completing technical projects within established timeframes
+ Maintain robust, repeatable records by recording all test and evaluation procedures on substrates, materials, and generated data in databases and laboratory notebooks
+ Present information and fact-findings to request originators by exploring issues, communications tools, and
+ Maintain best practices with equipment operations and test methodologies by learning and observing device controls, maintaining laboratories in a clean, safe, organized and clutter-free state, ordering supplies and samples, and handling chemicals safely and in compliance with SDS instructions
+ Verify raw materials quality by performing mechanical testing procedures, comparing and analyzing test results, and determining conformance acceptability
+ Develop work instructions that yield repeatable results by establishing and chronicling verification processes and procedures, chronologies, steps, approvals, and quality accuracy measures
+ Create product data sheets by mechanical testing for all new and repurposed products that establish applications, product features, and recommended usage reports
Requirements
You should have:
+ High school diploma essential, BS/BA degree in chemistry or equivalency preferred
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows-based software essential
+ Proficiency in ERPs, especially JD Edwards E-1 preferred
+ 2+ lab experience
+ Precise, detail-oriented, but with a thirst for understanding and trying new things

This is a temporary 3 month assignment
Salary Range: $20-$25 an hour
Our company takes the compensation of its employees very seriously and considers several factors when determining the total compensation package including but not limited to location, market range, skills, knowledge, experience, and abilities. The base salary range represents the low and high end of our company's salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range. The range listed is just one component of our company's total compensation packages for employees.
