Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The CLS PD performs a variety of technical analyses, verifies results and assures quality and accuracy of tests under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor(s), Laboratory Manager(s), Laboratory Administrative Director, and Laboratory Medical Director (Pathologist).

Qualifications

Minimum:

Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science from an accredited institution

Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Technologist license

Ability to demonstrate a familiarity and understanding of medical terminology, typing, math and computer skills

Requires 1 year of training post baccalaureate

Preferred:

  • 2 years working in a laboratory setting; Co-op or internship experience in a laboratory setting or prior acute care experience
  • Degree majoring in Clinical Lab Science
