Software Development Engineer (multiple openings)

Design, develop, and optimize computer and network software, and Adobe-specific utility programs. Duties include: develop software which facilitates ability to scale deployment of the Adobe Experience Platform across internal Adobe Solutions, External Data Partners, 3rd Party ETL Solutions, Machine Learning initiatives, and Marketing Infrastructure eco-system partners; work to understand the challenges of consultants, solutions architects, and application engineering teams are facing; and develop software for Adobes customer centric engineering team.

Position may allow for partial telecommuting.

Requirements:

Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Position requires experience in the following:

(1) writing, troubleshooting, and debugging complex SQL queries on distributed systems/MPP (massively parallel processing) architecture;

(2) RDBMS query profiles and execution plans to analyze performance and make recommendations;

(3) RDBMS, SQL data types, and functions;

(4) Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure ecosystems;

(5) Troubleshooting database connectivity issues using a variety of methods (client software, drivers/connectors);

(6) Troubleshooting skills on a variety of operating systems (Windows, Mac, and *Nix);

(7) Interpreting systems performance metrics (CPU, I/O, RAM, and Network statistics.

(8) Internet protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP/S, SFTP, DNS as well as the ability to use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot connectivity issues; and,

(9) Scripting/coding experience in Python, Java, .NET, NodeJS, or R.
