Job Description

The Microbiology Lab Technician will conduct bench testing, including sample preparation, plating, culturing, and environmental swabs, monitoring, and testing. This role involves conducting microbial and physical analyses to support the development of a manufacturable multisource pharmaceutical product. The technician will provide analytical support for the release of registration materials in support of regulatory submissions and assist in analytical method validation and transfer activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct bench testing such as sample preparation, plating, culturing, and environmental swabs, monitoring, and testing.
• Perform microbial and physical analyses to aid in the development of pharmaceutical products.
• Provide analytical support for registration material release and regulatory submissions.
• Assist in analytical method validation and transfer activities.
• Execute assigned analytical tasks within timelines and in compliance with cGXP's and company procedures.
• Follow work instructions, SOPs, and company practices.
• Document analytical activities and results accurately and timely, maintaining data integrity.
• Identify and troubleshoot analytical method execution challenges.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in dilutions, sample preparation, biochemistry, and quality control.
• Strong microbiology lab experience, either academic or professional.
• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or Biology with a minor in Microbiology.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with supervision using scientific judgment and professional competency.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Preferred experience in a professional microbiology lab/testing environment.

Work Environment

This is a fast-paced environment involving work both in the quality group and occasionally in clean rooms. The opening is on the 1st shift, Monday to Friday, from 7 AM to 3:30 PM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
