As a Quality Control Technician, you'll be working to support the plant's day-to-day operations around quality. You'll be supported by your team with possibilities to grow into a Supply Chain Professional and directly impact the quality of our products - helping to improve real lives.

Your key responsibilities

  • Manage the receipt of samples as they are logged into Quality Control.
  • Analyze raw material, in-process, and finished product samples according to established SOP's
  • Conduct daily sensory evaluation sessions per established SOP's
  • Participate in daily sensory evaluation panels per established SOP's.
  • Provide Sensory Support in both preparation and evaluation of ingredients and finished products.
  • Prioritize / separate samples and organize their testing per established SOP's.
  • Prepare micro samples for shipment per established SOP's for 3rd party testing. Files all retains at conclusion of sample testing cycle

You bring

  • Bachelor's degree required preferably within the following disciplines (Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Food Science, Food Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry). Technically proficient in the following standard chemical procedures and physical measurements (wet chemistry): FTIR, HPLC, NMR, pH, acid value, peroxide value, oil content, water content, specific gravity, refractive index, Tg, optical rotation, other standard tests. Proficiency with MS Office: Word, Excel and standard MS office software. LIMS and/or SAP experience preferred

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to be on your feet for 50-70% of the day; Able to lift, push, or pull up to 30 lbs; Requires wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant's job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary $46,000-$57,000.

In addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits.
