We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join our immunology team in Indianapolis . The successful candidate will possess a strong background in population and/ or human genetics . They will be responsible for the analysis of large scale internal and external sequencing datasets to decipher the shared genetic architecture across autoimmune traits. As part of our translational bioinformatics group, the candidate will perform genetic analysis to identify novel targets, pathways and biomarkers associated with autoimmune diseases . T he proposed project will allow the candidate to sharpen critical thinking, understand the impact of their work within a larger organization and prepare for scientific leadership roles . A successful candidate will have the desire to work with an interdisciplinary team of scientists in a highly collaborative environment that strives to unlock novel therapeutic approaches . Job Responsibilities:
Analyze large-scale sequencing datasets from population cohorts to identify shared genetic va riation (pleiotropy) impacting multiple autoimmune disease traits
Apply statistical and computational approaches to l everage large omic datasets for molecular QTL analysis linking genetic risk variants to systemic inflammation and autoimmune disease s
Contribute to internal workflow s and bioinformatic pipelines for genetic analysis , target , pathway, and biomarker discovery
Collaborate with translational scientists, statisticians, bioinformaticians and clinicians to interpret findings and advance novel therapeutic approaches
Communicate experimental results and project progress at team and department meetings
Publish/share original research externally (presentations, peer-reviewed articles, and conferences)
Basic Qualifications:
Ph.D. in genetics, genetic epidemiology , genomics , or a related scientific field with all completed requirements by September 2025.
Proficiency in written and verbal Englis h
Additional Skills/Preferences:
Applicants with e xtensive knowledge of population genetics methods for understanding complex trait s are highly encouraged to apply
Relevant experience in publishing scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals, substantiated by at least one submitted publication with first authorship, is expected
General u nderstanding of statistical principles used for genetic analysis, such as linear and mixed effects models
E xperience working in a computational or cloud environment used for the analysis of large-scale sequencing datasets ( e.g Plink, AWS, R , Phyton , Perl, shell, Unix, DNAnexus ) will be prefer r ed
E xperience working with large-scale biobank (UK biobank, 1000 Genomes, All of Us ) or other sequencing datasets is a plus
Prior experience in immunology or autoimmune disease research is not required but a plus
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
This position is not permanent. It is for a fixed duration of two years with potential to extend to 3 years and for maximum of up to 4 years. You will have opportunities to apply for full time positions after your duration is complete.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidates education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$58,000 - $100,320Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
