We are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to join our expanding molecular diagnostics team in Sacramento, CA. You'll play a key role in testing clinical trial samples, licensed product validation, and supporting data generation for regulatory submission in partnership with our drug development teams.
We are currently expanding to a larger laboratory space and hiring for a replacement role, with onboarding set to begin as soon as possible.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct licensed diagnostic testing on clinical and research samples
- Perform prospective and retrospective sample analysis
- Support data submission for drug development and regulatory filings
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners (e.g., Thermo Fisher)
- Maintain high standards of lab compliance, documentation, and SOPs
- Lead or contribute to molecular workflows including PCR, extractions, and NGS
- Collaborate with licensed and non-licensed scientists on clinical and retrospective testing
Team Structure:
Total team: 6 staff
o 4 Licensed CLS (including Supervisor Tran)
o 2 Non-licensed Scientists
Requirements:
- Licensed CLS in California
- NGS, molecular biology, PCR, and extraction experience strongly preferred
- At least 2 years of prior lab experience (before obtaining a CLS license)
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills
- Strong work ethic and adaptability
- Open to entry-level CLS candidates with strong technical training

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $54.00/hr.
