How will you make an impact?

You will be responsible for developing new and improving the current protein purification process to promote product quality, participating in new product development, and providing trainings to junior scientists in R&D. While working within an interdisciplinary team of scientists, you will learn and supply your skills and ideas to projects.

What will you do?

  • Perform laboratory experiments to develop, assess or transfer methods/procedures, specifically, protein biochemistry, cell biology and bioanalytical assays
  • Trouble shoots antigen production issues and provides practical solutions
  • Develop and build the foundation of new cell or protein-based bioassays by providing technical and scientific support
  • Responsible for performing in-depth data analysis and interpretation
  • Communicate findings and discuss relevance of your data to a multi-discipline team consisting of upstream and downstream process development scientists, quality control, quality assurance, process engineers and our customers

How will you get here?

Education

Bachelor, Master, or PhD in Biochemistry, Immunology, Cell biology, or related field

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of proven experience related to the job description; Master's degree with 3 years; PhD with practical scientific experience
  • Knowledge and practical experience in culturing mammalian cells and cell biological assay development, as well as molecular cloning
  • Knowledge and expertise in performing protein characterization and affinity purification
  • Knowledge and technical experience with antibody-antigen affinity analysis
  • Experience with flow cytometry and complex antibody panel design, and fluorescent imaging
  • Technical experience with antibody-antigen detection test, including ELISA, affinity measurement, and bead-based immunoassay
  • Good understanding of GLP and GMP guidelines for assay development

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $91,700.00$137,525.00.
