The schedule is 4, 10-hour shifts: overnights and weekends
T he position involves almost daily , direct interaction with patients and their families, and exposure to almost every part of the CMC hospital system (ED, OR, ICUs, hospital floor units, labs, etc ). There is nearly no limit to what a Sr RA can learn and accomplish , including authorship on research studies, and potentially even presenting at conferences (if they work toward that goal ). Our Research Associates are vital members of our research and clinical team and work alongside our CRCs , and the Trauma and Acute Care Surgeons and countless other clinicians from diverse disciplines . Our focus is mainly in the critically ill and injured patient populations. We generally have about 15 different clinical trials open at a given time, ranging from new investigational drugs, medical devices, or changes in patient care practices.
Sr RAs must be self-motivated, detail-oriented , and willing to work mainly nights and/or weekends. This can be a demanding and fast-paced position, but our research team likes to have fun, too!
