This position resides within our Microbiology Laboratory Team. The schedule is Monday through Friday during the day shift, with roughly one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) coverage per month.

The successful applicant will join a strong team that will provide a supportive environment during orientation and training. This role offers a wide range of laboratory and Food Safety experience and development, and direct involvement in using this work to ensure Quality in raw materials and finished product.

Your responsibilities
  • Test finished goods and raw materials
  • Use a variety of Microbiological test methods including cultural and automated biochemical and ELISA assays
  • Coordinate test schedules, provides result communication, and participates in process improvements
  • Participate in all aspects of lab systems management and regulatory compliance
The experience we're looking for
  • Bachelors Degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Clinical Lab Science or related field
  • Laboratory skills and hygienic technique
  • Microbiology Lab experience with cultural methods, ELISA, PCR, and biochemical assays.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good documentation practices and data comprehension
  • Computer skills (such as GLIMS, Optiva, SAP, MS Office, Excel)
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage special projects and process improvements
  • Ability to work in a dynamic processing plant setting, while following established Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Flexibility in schedule as need to support a team environment

USD $54,000 - $80,000

US pay transparency The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law.
