Research Associate Protein Biochemist

Akkodis is seeking a Research Associate - Protein Biochemist for a Contract job with a client in Cambridge, MA . The ideal candidate will support developability assays for protein therapeutics, including monospecific and multispecific antibodies, and contribute to analytical testing and characterization of physicochemical attributes. Rate Range: $35/hour to $40/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Research Associate job responsibilities include: Analyze protein purity using SDS-PAGE, HPLC-SEC, HIC, and DLS. Conduct protein stability assays via thermal denaturation and accelerated degradation. Interpret, document, and present data to project teams. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to share knowledge and insights. Maintain meticulous bench-work and record-keeping while working independently. Desired Qualifications: BA/BS or MS in Biochemistry, Biophysics, or a related field with 1-3 years of relevant research experience. Hands-on experience with protein characterization techniques such as SDS-PAGE, HPLC (SEC, HIC), and/or CE-based methods (CE-SDS, icIEF). Familiarity with lab automation, buffer preparation, pH measurement, and UV absorbance. Strong understanding of protein structure and biophysical chemistry.
