Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic, people-oriented professional to foster an energetic, collaborative, and high-performing culture by connecting people, inspiring teams, building and nurturing relationships, leading employee engagement efforts, and driving client acquisition. An Associate Director in our Investigation & Remediation practice group thrives in social settings, enjoys building relationships, and is energized by working with teams and external partners to drive group-level results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, entrust, and empower supervisors to foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Actively seek out and engage potential clients through networking, outreach, and relationship-building.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
- Collaborate with other departments to align team goals with business development strategies.
- Monitor team performance and provide coaching and feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
- Rallying the project team, keeping them on track, and driving projects to completion. Find solutions to ensure team/project progress regardless of circumstances.
- Providing mentorship, training, and professional development to supervisory staff.
- Performing technical work and supporting project deliverables on a variety of Investigation & Remediation projects including:
- Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs);
- Drive site closures through Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) regulatory programs including the Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP), Texas Risk Reduction Program (TRRP), Leaking Petroleum Storage Tank (LPST) Program, and Operator Cleanup Program (OCP);
- Spill Response & Reporting;
- Expertise in regulatory closures of environmental projects in multiple states is a plus.
Ideal Candidate
- BS degree or higher in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field and a minimum of 10-15 years of direct environmental consulting experience, including 5 years managing and mentoring a team of environmental professionals.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; enjoys interacting with people.
- Comfortable initiating conversations and building rapport with new contacts.
- A motivated problem solver adept at finding solutions tailored to clients needs.
- Proven leadership skills with a driven work ethic.
- Strong desire to help build and grow a client base through diverse business development initiatives.
- Valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record.
- PE, PG, or other professional certification preferred.

Compensation Range:
