Job Description

The position will support a client team that is responsible for formulation research and development. The successful candidate will develop and execute analytical assays to support process development and formulation. We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in chemistry or related scientific fields, hands-on experience in analytical techniques, along with a willingness to learn and collaborate in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Implement and perform a variety of assays to support material characterization, process optimization and formulation development of new drug modalities, such as lipid, mRNA, and protein characterization and analysis using LC-MS, LC-MS/MS, UPLC, SEC-MALS, etc.
  • Write test methods, procedure SOPs, and study reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including genetic medicine, formulation, and analytical development teams to ensure timely delivery of assay data.
  • Troubleshoot, interpret, and present experimental data in multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Maintain detailed records in electronic lab notebook and sample management system.
  • Willing to take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. in life sciences with 4-6 years of industry experience or M.S. in life sciences with 2-3 years of industry experience.
  • Hands-on experience with analytical assay development and optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with lipid, RNA, and protein LC-MS (and LC-MS/MS).
  • Hands-on experience with QExactive or Orbitrap instrumentation.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision after initial training.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and interpret experimental results and effectively present conclusions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with assay qualification following ICH guidance.
  • Ability to set priorities and multitask activities to effectively manage workflows and deliverables.
  • Strong team orientation, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
