Carnegie Mellon Universitys department of Mechanical Engineering is searching for
a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by providing support by developing a vascularized cell niche using our innovative 3D-ICE technique and incorporating biochemical cues within a hydrogel system and such other tasks that are assigned to you.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop a vascularized cell niche using 3D-ICE technique
  • Incorporate biochemical cues within a hydrogel system
  • Collaborate with PI, Postdoctoral Associates and Graduate Students

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree required in Engineering, Biology, Material Science or closely related
    field
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should possess a strong foundation in areas such as cell biology, biomechanics, tissue engineering and biomaterials
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in designing, conducting and analyzing impactful research experiments
