Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician to perform analysis of various materials using standardized procedures and support production by conducting quality inspections. This role is vital in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety within our facility. Responsibilities
- Perform analysis of incoming, in-process, and finished materials using standardized analytical procedures, including tests such as pH, Turbidity, Brix, Salt, Alcohol, Total Nitrogen, and Microbiological Sampling and testing.
- Conduct standardized quality sampling and checks during production, reporting variances and non-conformities to management.
- Support production and perform quality inspections before, during, and between product runs.
- Monitor plant sanitation and personal hygiene according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for food processing facilities and current company GMP policies, reporting repeat offenders to management.
- Prepare samples for shipment and send for outside testing, updating results and alerting management to any discrepancies or issues.
- Place product on hold and release product from hold according to company policy.
- Receive new ingredients, contact suppliers for documentation, and maintain ingredient information files.
- Organize and update all laboratory quality control documentation, including SOPs, forms, charts, tables, and analysis data, ensuring data entry is up-to-date.
- Maintain lab equipment, including calibration, performance verification, and troubleshooting equipment and systems as needed.
- Manage laboratory supply stock for general analysis, including solutions and general office supplies.
- Support the QC Manager in all customer service issues.
- Assist the QC team with any projects as designated.
- Pursue excellence and continuously develop technical and personal skills.
- Basic laboratory skills through experience or a degree.
- Proficiency in pipetting.
- Micro plating techniques.
- pH testing.
- Ability to read a graduated cylinder.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Effective and professional communication skills.
- Quality control and HACCP understanding.
- Strong organizational skills.
