Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide laboratory support to the manufacturing process and ensure product quality prior to shipment.
• Conduct analytical testing on emulsion polymerization products and plant wastewater in support of In-Process and Finished Goods 24/7 ISO 9001 manufacturing operations.
• Accurately measure physical properties (e.g., pH, viscosity, solids, particle size distribution) and composition (e.g., GC, HPLC, FTIR, titrations) of latex products.
• Enter data into and retrieve information from LIMS (IQS), SAP, and other software platforms.
• Perform testing accurately and communicate results clearly.
• Maintain strong attention to detail at all times.
• This opportunity may lead from a temporary assignment to a permanent position.
• The selected candidate must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Experience

• Minimum of 2+ years' experience in a laboratory position of increasing responsibility is preferred.

Education

• Option 1: Associates degree in Chemistry, Biology, or another science, with at least 6+ months of industrial experience in a QA/QC, R&D, Analytical, or Environmental laboratory setting.
• Option 2: High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3+ years of relevant industrial laboratory experience in QA/QC, R&D, Analytical, or Environmental labs.

Note:

All candidates must be willing and able to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends. Shifts do NOT require working 7 days a week. Typically, schedules alternate between a 36-hour week (3 days @ 12 hours per day) and a 48-hour week (4 days @ 12 hours per day), with days not necessarily consecutive. The hiring manager is flexible in arranging work hours.
