Lab Technician

As a Lab Technician, you will perform chemistry-based testing on a daily basis, including environmental testing and Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) analysis. You will assist other chemists and technicians with various test methods as needed, document daily lab data accurately, and ensure lab equipment and stations are clean and prepared.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily chemistry-based testing including environmental testing and BOD analysis.
• Assist chemists and technicians with various test methods.
• Accurately document daily lab data and complete necessary documentation.
• Clean and prepare lab equipment and stations daily.

• Chemistry degree or experience in chemistry-based testing preferred.
• Industry lab experience in chemistry testing (minimum of 1+ year).
• Experience in environmental testing, metals testing, or using ICP, ICP-MS, or Atomic Absorption.

• Associate degree or minor in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science.
• Experience in titration and wet chemistry.

This position is based in a contract laboratory with primary office work and occasional lab duties. Flexible start times are available with a first shift schedule, working 40 to 45 hours per week, including potential overtime. Sunday work may be required based on customer needs. The environment is fast-paced, requiring composure under pressure, and involves interaction with sample couriers, lab technicians, supervisors, and clients, primarily via email and phone.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
