- Perform routine analytical testing (e.g., GC, HPLC, titrations)
- Document results lab notebooks, create reports
- Lead in SAP master data management and Method development and validation.
- Lead in sample preparation and reagent standardization, ordering stock and inventory management.
- Participate in basic lab housekeeping and safety checks, ISO documentation
- Investigate out of spec (OOS) results
- Train QA Chemists (new methods and BIB)
- Review and approve analytical data
- Coordinate with production and QA for batch release
- Oversee lab operations and ensure compliance
- Collaborate with colleagues, QA, R&D and regulatory teams
- Lead audits and inspections
- Instrumentation maintenance; Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration of laboratory instruments.
- Coverage of multiple shifts by filling in for absent colleagues and providing coverage for peak periods and support 24/7 operations.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives
- Mentor and coach junior staff.
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Requires B.S. in Chemistry or related technical field, preferred M.S. Degree
- Knowledge of specialized scientific programs for molecular structure drawing, experimental design and statistics.
- Six+ years working in a Lab within a Chemical Manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance
- Data integrity and documentation practices
- SAP Master data management
- Basic Statistical analysis of QC data
- Advanced analytical techniques
- Root Cause analysis
- Project management technical writing skills
- Quick adaptability to adjust to changing priorities, workflows and deadlines.
- Experience in QC laboratory.
- Familiarity in GLP, analytical instrumentation and ISO procedures. Preferred 5+ years of QC experience.
