THE WORK You will be the Quality Control Specialist for the Palm Beach Quality team. Our team is responsible for the Quality Management System and product conformity of low-volume, high mix incoming and manufactured electrical and mechanical products for underseas products. As the Quality Control Specialist, you will be responsible for review, development and execution of inspections for buy commercial off the shelf and fabricated supplier parts; as well as make electrical and mechanical sub-assemblies, assemblies, and systems. Your responsibilities will include: Conduct thorough inspections of electrical and mechanical products to identify defects, irregularities, and non-conformities Verify product compliance with specifications, drawings, and regulatory requirements Develop and implement effective inspection plans and procedures to ensure quality control Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, to resolve quality issues and improve processes Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, test results, and quality control activities WHO YOU ARE You are a dynamic and results-oriented professional with a passion for driving operational excellence and optimizing production processes. Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in quality, preferably in an electrical and mechanical product manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of quality control principles, standards, and regulations (e.g., AS9100, J-STD-001, IPC-620) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to interpret complex technical data Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with effective communication and interpersonal skills Familiarity with inspection tools and equipment, such as FAROs, calipers, micrometers, and multimeters High school diploma or equivalent Desired Skills: Experience with lean manufacturing principles and techniques Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including circuit analysis and mechanical design Familiarity with quality control software and systems, such as SAP, Solumina or similar platforms Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
