This laboratory-based role will support and carry out in vitro assays to investigate drug metabolism, enzyme kinetics, and drug-drug interactions, as well as provide mammalian cell culture scale-up and laboratory support.

responsibilities:
- Generation of samples from in vitro studies using biological matrices.
- Analyzing samples by LC-MS/MS, data processing, and reporting.
- Routine lab activities (e.g., stocking consumables, buffer preparation).
- Maintaining an electronic lab notebook.
- Responsible for general laboratory work involving the study of the metabolism of drugs in vitro.
- Work will involve generation of in vitro samples, sample analyses using LC-MS/MS, and interpretation and presentation of data.
- Preparation of medium, ordering of tissue culture supplies.
- Routine mammalian cell culture (counting, passaging, banking, QC testing), and scale-up and provisioning of fresh and cryo-preserved cell reagents to end users.
- Demonstrate basic laboratory skills to propagate and maintain various continuous and primary cell lines, including mycoplasma testing to ensure cell line sterility.
- Comply with all safety training and good laboratory practices.
- Maintain up-to-date electronic laboratory notebooks and records in accordance with company policy and ensure proper archiving of banked cell lines.
- Communicate verbally and through writing to end users on timelines, status, and deliverables.
qualifications:
- Bench Scientist: BA + 3 years' experience, MA + 1 year experience. HM open to PhD candidates, but no more than 1 year experience.
- Cell Culture Scientist: Bachelor of Science with at least 1 year of experience with aseptic mammalian cell culture in a laboratory setting.
- Highly proficient in aseptic mammalian cell culture technique.
- Effective oral and written communication.
- Ability to work effectively with a team.
- Computer proficiency.
- Well organized and able to maintain up-to-date records to ensure proper tracking of cell lines.
