Position: Principal Software Development Engineer (Allen, Texas)

Duties: Communicate with PLM, management, and other teams and team members to determine the software requirements. Create and contribute to the specification and design documents. Implement the designed software and review code. Hold regular meetings and ad-hoc communication with other team members regarding the implementation. Conduct manual integration and testing with other big data analytics projects and components to verify the implemented software meets all specified requirements prior to SQA.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience developing an integrated analytics platform with ETL data collection, OLAP database, and dynamically configurable interactive graphical reporting or, alternatively, a Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience developing an integrated analytics platform with ETL data collection, OLAP database, and dynamically configurable interactive graphical reporting. Specific skills/other requirements - Demonstrated Expertise (DE) implementing Streaming OTT video reporting functionality relating to the streaming and visual quality and subscriber experience scores while utilizing skills in database schema design and specific report implementations targeting the streaming video domain; DE implementing an interactive graphical reporting application based on React, Redux, Material UI, React-Hook-Form, Highcharts and the Spring Framework; DE implementing supporting infrastructure to meet the needs of scalable multi-user clusters, including a user authentication/permission library and installation and upgrade scripts targeting the Docker container runtime and the Ansible automation platform; DE Implementing an ETL component utilizing Google Flatbuffers and derived code generator of object deserializers and database models/schemas; DE in dynamic SQL query generation targeting the Vertica analytic database for producing interactive graphical reports.
