Associate Scientist - Contract - Cambridge MA

Proclinical is seeking an Associate Scientist specializing in Genomics to join a dynamic team in Cambridge, MA. This role focuses on supporting research efforts in rare diseases through advanced cell culture techniques, high-throughput screening, and RNA sequencing workflows.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will play a key role in executing experiments, maintaining lab operations, and contributing to the development of innovative protocols.
Skills & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a biological science with hands-on laboratory experience in cell or molecular biology.
Proficiency in cell culture and nucleic acid/protein purification and quantification, including qPCR.
Familiarity with NGS workflows is a plus.
Experience with laboratory automation systems, such as Perkin Elmer JANUS or Beckman i7, is highly desirable.
The Associate Scientist's responsibilities will be:
Perform cell culture using iPSCs, primary cells, and immortalized cell lines to support research and high-throughput siRNA screening.
Conduct RNASeq sample preparation, including library preparation, quality control, and sequencing.
Maintain accurate sample tracking records.
Execute assays such as qPCR and ELISA to analyze biomarkers or siRNA activity, supporting in vivo studies.
Manage lab maintenance tasks, including equipment operation, reagent inventory, and preparation.
Troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to the optimization of existing and new protocols.
Utilize instrumentation and robotics for high-throughput 384-well screening.
Adapt to evolving project workflows and platform needs.
