We are seeking a Quality Control Technician for our First Quality Tissue located in Anderson SC . This position will be responsible for insert verbiage from Job Description, if applicable.

    Primary responsibilities include:

    Correctly understands and performs quality testing and inspection requirements
    Conducts daily audits for the following focus areas:
    1. Calibration/verification of testing and measuring equipment
    2. Product testing and visual inspection results
    3. Product and process inspections
    4. Compliance to PPM and record keeping instructions
    5. Release of acceptable product
    6. Control of nonconforming materials (Raw Materials, Parent Rolls, and Finished Goods)
    Completes independent product audits
    Provides and reinforces quality training for Team members
    Supports Team members in the identification and control of nonconforming materials (raw materials, parent rolls, and finished goods)
    Performs special testing in support of product development, validation, and product investigations (nonconforming goods, complaints, and recalls)
    Enters test and inspection data into various quality record systems
    Positively interacts with Paper and Team Leads and Leadership so that any issues can be handled in an effective and efficient manner and follow the FQ Rules of Engagement
    Performs other duties as requested by the Production and/or Quality Manager; may be required to work on the production line as needed in addition to being responsible for quality checks
    Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times

    The ideal candidate should possess the following:

    Must have completed 2 out of 5 Basic Qualifications.

    In addition to successfully training on the Quality Control Tech position, must complete 3rd Basic Qualification within 1 year of entering the Quality Control Tech position.

    Demonstrates strong communication skills, both written and oral and demonstrates respect for co-workers.

    Excellent time management and leadership skills .

    A bility to work under pressure and handle changes to achieve production targets.

    . Must be able to work independently or with teams.

    . Must be able to climb stairs and work in elevated areas.

    Confident, self-driven, dynamic and loves to learn.

    Post high school education or certifications in applicable fields preferred.

    Testing or inspection experience for basis weight, tensile strength and elongation, finished product, and product packaging preferred.

    Employees must have completed six months in current job before they are eligible to apply for a new position. Previous leadership experience in a paper manufacturing environment may apply toward the six months positional experience.

    Must be flexible to adjust working schedule for vacation/time-off coverage and/or testing needs.
